We are working on testing a new non-contact sensor that can measure water level in urban and natural channels. The sensor is based on a ultrasonic technology and can be mounted on a bridge or nearby posts without the need for water contact. We plan to co-locate the sensor next to other traditional sensors and perform sensors inter-comparison assessment study to gain more insight on their performance under different flow and other environmental conditions.
