With severe weather approaching our Acadiana region tonight, check the latest forecasts on rainfall available from the HRRR model. Also, check out beta-version flood forecasts that our Center produces for the pilot Coulee Mine Watreshed in Lafayette. We produce these forecasts using a suite of coupled hydrologic and hydraulic models driven by real-time rainfall forecasts. Our plan is to extend such forecasts over many more watersheds in the region.
